The Government Delegation in Navarre and the College of Pharmacists of Navarre collaborate, for the third consecutive year, in the dissemination of the campaign "No caminas sola: Camino de Santiago Free of Male Violence.” This is a joint initiative of the Coordination Units against Violence against Women of the Delegations of Navarre, Aragon, La Rioja, Castilla y León, Galicia and Extremadura to strengthen the security of the pilgrim women who decide to carry out the Camino de Santiago in solitude, many of them foreigners, who do not know the language and public resources established for their protection.
The “No Caminas Sola” campaign: Camino de Santiago Free of Male Violence”, launched in 2021, disseminates information cards and posters that include a QR code that links to the phones of resources specialized in attention to women, and joins the Annual Plan of Prevention and Security of the National Police and the Plan “Guardians of the Way” of the Civil Guard.
This exercise, the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation has delivered to the College of Pharmacists of Navarre 175 bilingual Spanish-English posters, 2,400 cards in Spanish and another 2,400 cards in English that will be distributed to pharmacies present in the municipalities along the Jacobean route.
