The Council of Ministers approved today, on the proposal of the Ministry of Equality, the distribution of 17 million euros to the Autonomous Communities to finance the creation of 24-hour comprehensive assistance centers for victims of sexual violence in all provinces. Of these, 356,109 euros correspond to Navarre.
Specifically, the funds, coming from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, will be used to guarantee safe accommodation for all victims of trafficking who are in Spanish territory with the objectives of:
- To guarantee victims of trafficking safe and urgent accommodation, available and accessible 24 hours a day.
- To guarantee victims of trafficking a housing resource for their social integration in the medium term.
- To ensure that victims of trafficking under the age of 18 are provided with safe and adequate accommodation for their needs.
For each of the 50 provinces of the Spanish geography it is contemplated the implementation of an emergency accommodation, one of long stay and another for minor victims.
The 356,000 euros allocated today to Navarre join the 1.3 million euros allocated so far to implement this comprehensive 24-hour care center in the Foral Community.
