The Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, has mobilized 5,688,700 euros in Navarre between 2021 and 2022 to improve commercial activity. Of these funds, 4,927,316 euros have financed 6 projects through the lines of sustainable markets, markets in rural areas and strengthening commercial activity in tourist areas. The rest, 761,384 euros, corresponds to the Technological Fund managed by the autonomous communities themselves.
Spain as a whole has mobilized around 258 million euros for a total of 227 projects. This represents the execution of 62% of the total budget allocated for the period 2021-2023 within the subsidy lines for support to the commercial sector included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
In the case of Navarre, in the call for 2021 was selected a sustainable market project promoted by the City of Pamplona for 1.9 million euros. Meanwhile, As a result of the call of 2022, the Foral Community has received more than 3 million euros in three lines of aid: for the modernization of a sustainable urban market; for three sustainable rural markets and for the promotion of a tourist inflow zone. To these two items are added the funds from the Technological Fund managed by the Autonomous Communities and which is directed directly to small and medium-sized enterprises in the commercial sector that can submit their applications individually or through their associations of traders.
Announcements 2023
Among the novelties of the call of 2023, highlights the evaluation of projects of the implementation of technological solutions to improve the efficiency in energy consumption in the commercial sector, serving as an incentive to local entities to promote actions of efficiency and energy saving in their demarcations.
In addition, the financial allocation of the rural areas support line is increased by 22 million by 2023. The line of sustainable markets will remain at 60 million and the line of tourist areas will have 24 million.
