November 19, 2025. The government delegate has announced the arrest of four people in Lorca for drug trafficking crimes and violation of the immigration law in an operation carried out this morning by the National Police in the neighborhoods of San Diego and San Cristobal.

“The investigations carried out against drug trafficking in the city have allowed the entry and registration of two homes considered very active black points of trafficking of all types of narcotic substances, and different quantities of cocaine, marijuana, hashish, medicines, as well as precision scales and useful for the cutting and subsequent distribution of the drug,” said Francisco Lucas.

Previously, more than 60 agents of the National Police, belonging to the groups of Citizen Security, Judicial Police, Scientific Police and Local Information Brigade of the Lorca Police Station, with the fundamental support of the Prevention and Reaction Unit, UPR, Canine Guides Unit and Air Media Unit with surveillance drones and anti-drone systems, coming from the Superior Police Headquarters in the Region of Murcia, have been deployed in different points establishing preventive citizen security controls.

In addition to the substances involved, National Police officers have seized all types of white weapons and prohibited weapons (machetes, fists, sticks), a shotgun with a telescopic sight and a simulated revolver, along with pepper sprays, all of which are likely to be used by those involved in the public highway. Among the effects intervened, there were also about 3,000 euros in banknotes.

The government delegate thanked the energy supply company for its collaboration, which has carried out at least twenty actions on houses with illegal attachments that would generate a significant fire risk in the areas, with serious danger to the life and integrity of the neighbors.

“It is a very important operation, which adds to all the preventive actions carried out daily by the National Police to achieve results like today’s. I want to send a message of tranquility to the neighbors, because the surveillance is permanent and our State Security Forces and Bodies will continue to work to combat crime in the municipality”, added Lucas
