November 21, 2025. Francisco Lucas has visited today the works of integral reform of the National Police Station of Molina de Segura, in which the Government of Spain has invested 1.1 million and will conclude in the month of July 2026.
“The works began in October and have an execution period of nine months. With this investment, we make available to the National Police and the residents of Molina de Segura decent, modern facilities with more spaces and state-of-the-art security systems,” said the government delegate.
Lucas has indicated that the new design contemplates the expansion of operational spaces and citizen attention, including units for the Office of Complaints and Citizen Attention (ODAC), documentation, foreigners and operational brigades.
Commitment to Molina de Segura
“The Spanish Government’s commitment to the National Police and to Molina de Segura is unquestionable, and the facts speak for themselves. I would like to reiterate that I will continue working to expand the staffs of the State Security Forces and Corps and provide them with greater material and human resources to continue guaranteeing security, coexistence and social peace in the Region of Murcia,” he added.
The new station will mean a substantial improvement in the attention to the neighbors of Molina de Segura. It will allow us to offer a more agile, accessible and close service, while strengthening the operational capacity of the agents and the coordination of the different units.
This project is part of the commitment of the Government of Spain to the modernization of police infrastructures and the improvement of working conditions of National Police agents.
The government delegate has valued the work of the staff of the National Police in Molina de Segura, formed by about 130 people among police officers and the General Corps of the State, which in 2024 carried out 837 arrests, 462 eye inspections, processed 2,964 complaints and issued 40,309 documents to Spaniards and 12,145 to foreigners.
During his visit to the works, Lucas has been accompanied by the mayor of the town, José Ángel Alfonso, and the Superior Chief of Police in the Region of Murcia, Ignacio del Olmo. “I would like to thank the Government Delegation for its involvement and commitment in carrying out these works, which will allow us to adapt police management, which is so important to us, to the social reality that we have today in Molina de Segura,” said the mayor.
