A total of 753.32 million euros has been invested by the Government of Spain in Education and Professional Training in the Region of Murcia between 2020 and 2024, the Secretary of State for Education reported this morning at the opening of the V Congress of Directives and Directors of Public Education Centers for Infant and Primary Education.
Abelardo de la Rosa has highlighted that the commitment of the ministry with the Region of Murcia is evidenced by record investments in scholarships, 102 million in the academic year 2023-2024, or in key programs such as PROA, Territorial Cooperation or Early Childhood Education from 0 to 3.
“We have invested nearly 50 million euros to create more than 4,700 places for children from 0 to 3 years old in public schools, which are key to school integration, family reconciliation and educational success. In addition, we have invested 166 million euros in territorial cooperation programs and created or helped to create fifty school support classrooms for those students who have difficulties,” said the Secretary of State.
In addition, De la Rosa has highlighted the contribution of the Government of Spain to the modernization of the educational system and the reduction of the digital divide in the Region of Murcia, with funds that have allowed the training of 20,789 teachers in digital skills, equipment with tablets or laptops for 11,401 students, the conversion of 9,051 classrooms into digital spaces or improvements in the advanced digitalization of 667 schools.
Finally, the Secretary of State has valued the importance of joint work and institutional loyalty, because the objectives and the educational improvement, he has concluded, are shared.
