- The distribution of funds published in the BOE is aimed at the development of new or expanded competences reserved to local entities in the State Pact against Gender Violence for the financial year 2023
- The programmes funded from these funds will cover the implementation period from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024
July 21, 2023. The Government of Spain will allocate 1,041,301.08 euros to the municipalities of the Region of Murcia for the execution of programs related to the fight against gender violence, according to the Official State Bulletin (Provision 16804 of BOE No. 172 of 2023).
From this amount will be deducted the compensable remnants of the year 2021, so the amount transferred in 2023 for the regional municipalities will be 1,015,148.66 euros.
The recognized funds are intended for the development of new or expanded competencies that include the promotion of equality between men and women, as well as the eradication of gender violence, reserved to local entities under the State Pact against Gender Violence.
The implementation period for the funded programmes is from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024. Once the execution period is over, the actions must be justified in accordance with the provisions of article 5 of Royal Decree 1023/2020, of 17 November.
Measures contemplated in the State Pact
- Conducting awareness-raising campaigns and prevention of any form of violence against women and developing materials to provide information on violence against women.
- Promote Local Support Units, Local Coordination Tables or similar cooperation and coordination instruments.
- Support and contribute to the exercise of their functions by the Support Units.
- Strengthen municipal services for the care and information of victims of violence against women.
- Carrying out actions aimed at the continued specialized training of professionals at the local level, in the field of equality between women and men and in the forms of violence against women.
- Reinforcement of the Local Police Corps attached to the Viogen System.
- Reinforcement of the Family Meeting Points.
