- The appropriations for this year’s call amount to € 6,055,379.36, provided entirely by the State Public Employment Service,
- Between 2012 and 2023, the Region of Murcia has received about 60 million euros, which has allowed to hire 15,445 workers
- The objective of this program is to improve the situation of the group of temporary workers in depressed rural areas
June 29, 2023. The Regional Follow-up Commission of the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program, chaired by the Government delegate, Francisco Jiménez, approved this morning the 32 reports presented by the 22 municipalities of the Region of Murcia included in the program, whose current call is endowed with 6,055,379 euros for the hiring of workers from depressed rural areas of the Region of Murcia.
The difference of credit available from this call with the requested subsidy from the local corporations results in a final remnant of 26,886.59 euros that the commission, gathered in the Government Delegation, has approved to distribute among the municipalities of Abarán, Aledo, Librilla and Ulea.
These funds, provided entirely by the State Public Employment Service, have increased by 5% compared to last year and have increased by 31.9% since 2016.
The objective of this program is to improve the situation of the group of temporary workers of the Special System of Agricultural Workers with the dual purpose of improving their training and employability and, in addition, to promote rooting in depressed rural areas.
This money is used to finance salary costs and company contributions for carrying out work on projects of general and social interest managed and contracted by the Local Corporations.
The start of the works varies according to the municipalities, as it is a condition that the execution of the project coincides with periods of low agricultural activity. For this year it is planned that the municipalities can start the projects during the second half of July or the beginning of August.
The twenty-two municipalities that have presented their memoirs are grouped in four county councils, Mula, Caravaca, Cieza and Lorca.
