February 28, 2023. The Minimum Vital Income has already reached 20,821 households in the Region of Murcia and 65,652 beneficiaries, of which 30,448, 46.4% of the total, are minors.
In 12,914 households, 62 per cent of the beneficiaries are women, and in relation to the total number of beneficiaries, 34,885 are women, representing 53 per cent.
Regarding the number of benefits with the Child Support Supplement (CAPI), there are already 13,293 in the Region of Murcia. The ICSC, which entered into force in January 2022, is an aid of 100 euros per household per month for children from 0 to 3 years old; 70 euros per month for each child between 3 and 6 years old and 50 euros per month for each child between 6 and 18 years old.
The Minimum Vital Income information bus, which travels through Spain to inform and help citizens in the presentation of applications from those who meet the requirements, was last January in Murcia and Lorca, where the Government delegate, José Vélez, stressed that the IMV is the most ambitious policy that has been launched in Spain to end situations of severe poverty and to achieve the full integration of people who are in social exclusion and has a special impact on the reduction of child poverty in our Region.
Throughout Spain, the beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income are already 1,633,474, of which 42.9% are minors.
