The Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD) of Melilla offers a total of nine professional certificates aimed at qualification in Grades C, to facilitate the permanent learning of citizens through open, flexible and accessible training.
It was announced by the Provincial Director, Elena Fernández Treviño, who explained that, with this offer “it is intended to contribute to adapt the demand and needs of the productive fabric of the city and boost the qualification of the citizens, improving their skills for employability”.
The requirements for access to a professional certificate vary depending on level 1, 2 or 3 of the professional competence standards to which it is associated. No academic or professional requirements are required for the level 1 certificate. For level 2, graduate or graduate degree in ESO or equivalent, level 2 or level 1 certificate from the same professional family. For level 3, qualification of Technician or Superior Technique, Baccalaureate or equivalent, certificate of level 3 or level 2 of the same professional family.
The professional certificates offered in level 1 are Hairdressing Auxiliary Services, Administrative and General Auxiliary Operations, and Warehouse Auxiliary Activities.
Level 2’s are Vehicle Painting, Confectionery and Confectionery, Assembly and Maintenance of Megaphone Facilities, Sound Facilities and Closed Circuit Television, Socorrism in Natural Aquatic Spaces and Pest Control Services.
While those of level 3 are Habilitation for Teaching in degrees A, B and C of the Vocational Training System.
The training will be given in the educational centers of the city that currently have implemented the Professional Family to which the certificate corresponds.

Applications must be presented on paper at the centers where the certificate that is requested in the first option is given, starting in December. Each centre is preparing its own training calendar, although it is expected that they will begin on 12 January.
The duration of the certificates is variable, depending on the established hours, but it will be developed in periods of 20 sessions a week and all involve a practical part in the company.
