The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, highlighted the example of commitment and humanity of the professionals of the 061 in her speech on the occasion of the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of this service in Melilla, held at the University Hospital of Melilla (HUME).

The head of the Government Delegation, who has valued the work carried out by this health service for a quarter of a century in the service of citizens, recalled that this service has been consolidated as a fundamental pillar of the public health system and "a symbol of commitment, professionalism and dedication to the service of citizens".

During her speech, the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city recalled that these twenty-five years “are of collective effort, teamwork, growth and constant adaptation to the new times, but, above all, of lives saved, of emergencies attended with rigour and humanity, of security and trust for the population of Melilla”.

Moh wanted to express his “most sincere recognition to all the women and men who have been part of 061 over the years”, stressing that “behind every call, every performance, there are professionals who, quietly, but with enormous dedication, have been and are there when they are most needed”.

In that sense, he stressed that the work of these professionals “is an example of a vocation of public service, dedication and professional excellence”, and that “behind every intervention there is more than technique and knowledge: there is empathy, there is humanity and there is a deep sense of duty”.

In her chapter of thanks, the Delegate has also had words of appreciation for the families of these professionals, for being a fundamental pillar of these workers.

In addition, Moh has valued the collaboration and constant coordination between INGESA, the Security Forces and Corps, Civil Protection, the emergency services and the other administrations and entities, which allows us to offer a service of excellence at times when time is crucial.

Finally, it has encouraged the professionals of the 061 to continue facing the challenges of the future with the same dedication and vocation of service that they have demonstrated during this quarter of a century.
