Once again, the Punto Violeta initiative will be present in each of the booths of the fairground on the occasion of the patron saint’s festivities of Melilla.
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, and the Head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, Laura Segura, accompanied by the President of the Association of the Press of Melilla, José María Navarro, have delivered the signage to the businessmen of the Caseta de la Prensa, Dry8/As de Copas, reaffirming the collective commitment to guarantee a festival free of male violence.
The poster, which incorporates a QR code, will be visible in all the spaces of the Feria 2025. Through this code, a practical guide is displayed with essential information: how to act in a case of violence against women, what steps to follow in case of being a victim, what to do if a situation of violence is present and how to react to any form of aggression, not only gender violence, but also sexual violence or other violence exercised on the body of women.
The objective of the Government Delegation is for the Fair to be a space for equal coexistence, where all citizens can enjoy it safely, without fear of suffering any type of aggression.
In this regard, Sabrina Moh thanked the collaboration of the people responsible for the houses for their involvement in the initiative: “Thanks to their commitment, we ensure that all the spaces of the fair are safe and that all citizens can enjoy our parties with all the guarantees.”
