The Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) has published the call for the granting of public subsidies, intended for the financing of the Professional Orientation Program for Employment and Self-Employment (OPEA) in the territorial area of Melilla, for the financial year 2025.
As explained by the Provincial Director of the SEPE, Jorge Vera, the amount for this grant amounts to 722,657 euros and the beneficiaries are local entities, as well as their autonomous bodies and entities with competences in the field of active policies of employment, local development and promotion of the occupation, and public or private non-profit entities with their own legal personality.
Vera has highlighted the importance of this program that, among other objectives, serves to reinforce the services offered by the Center for Orientation and Entrepreneurship (COE) of Melilla. “The awarding entities hire job counsellors to carry out the actions foreseen in Royal Decree 438/2024 of the common portfolio of services and guaranteed services, carrying out a follow-up and accompaniment to the job seekers until obtaining a contract,” he explained.
The deadline for the submission of applications, as well as the documentation that the interested person, company or entity must accompany it, is fifteen calendar days, counted from tomorrow.
