The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has valued the 13 million euros, approved in the Council of Ministers, to develop a new Employment Plan this year in our city and whose announcement is going to be published “imminently”.
“A new call, with another 13 million euros, will be published imminently to carry out another Employment Plan before the end of this year, which will allow a new job opportunity to be offered to a thousand people,” he said.
To these 26 million euros – which are the two Employment Plans of the Delegation this year – must be added another 5 million euros that the State Government has transferred to the Autonomous City of Melilla to also be able to carry out another Employment Plan. “In total 31 million euros for this year of 2025 that will come to respond to the employability of Melilla here,” stressed the head of the Government Delegation.
With regard to the new Employment Plan of the Government Delegation, Moh recalled that it will have workers with higher qualifications. “This year we are going to have, again, occupations as teachers, as technicians of Early Childhood Education, social educators, social workers… and all those degrees that are included within the old degrees and diplomas, graduates or superior technicians, Vocational Training, Middle Degree”, explained the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city.
In addition, he pointed out that “special emphasis will be placed on the entire training offer of Vocational Training that we are carrying out in our city, so that our young people can have at the hands of the General Administration of the State an opportunity to be able to enter the world of work and acquire that experience that they can subsequently request in another type of work”.
As for the procedure, and while the call comes out, the Delegation is already working on this Employment Plan “to speed up all the time” and is already contacting all the agencies corresponding to the General Administration of the State to request the information of those profiles that are going to be required and to be able to incorporate them in that memory that will be delivered later so that, from the General Directorate of the SEPE, they can approve this subsidy of 13 million euros that is executed in the city.
Education and Printing Projects
Moh has said that, although not all projects are yet outlined, as in the previous Employment Plans, the project with the largest number of professionals will be education. “We know that during these years various projects, various programs within the educational centers are being carried out and a significant number of workers are involved,” he explained.
Thus, he recalled that the Government of the People's Party employed about 200 workers to the Education project, while the current Executive has increased this amount to more than 700 profiles for this project.
Another important project, he has apostilled, is the one that is going to be developed in the Imserso, where “other activities are also going to be resumed that this year, due to the impossibility of hiring higher headlines, had not been carried out and that we will resume in this new Plan”.
In addition, projects will be developed with other agencies, such as the Penitentiary Center, the Finance Delegation or even the Government Delegation in Melilla, which contracts with professionals dedicated to help with the coordination of the various projects carried out within the framework of the Employment Plan.
