The Provincial Director of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) in Melilla and patron of the State Foundation for Training in Employment (Fundae), Jorge Vera, has encouraged workers, unemployed and companies of the city to take advantage of the call for training microcredits promoted by Fundae and financed through the European funds Next Generation.
This initiative includes financial support of up to 600 euros for those people who successfully complete one of the free training included in the program, related to digital transformation, sustainability and productivity improvement.
“This is an opportunity that allows active workers, the unemployed and also companies to offer or receive key training for digital, green and productive transformation, all with direct financial assistance,” said Vera.
The Provincial Director explained that this measure is part of the new public policies for a dynamic, resilient and inclusive labor market, framed in the National Plan of Recovery, Transformation and Resilience promoted by the Government of Spain. This plan aims to improve the digital and sustainable capabilities of workers and companies, promoting innovation, employability and adaptation to the new production model.
Subsidized courses can be conducted both online and in person, and it is not necessary to be unemployed to benefit from them. Companies can also apply for these trainings for their employees, and receive the corresponding funding from Fundae.
“To bet on training is to bet on the future. From the SEPE and Fundae we work so that no one is left behind in the digital transformation and in the improvement of employability, especially in territories such as Melilla”, he stressed.

To subsidise the training, it must have been developed between 1 January 2023 and 1 September 2025. The training carried out, accredited and passed, must be completed after May 28, 2024 (date of publication of the extract).
