The Social Center of Seniors of the Imserso celebrated yesterday its 21st anniversary with a commemorative act where there was no lack of recognition, a special meal crowned with a cake, music and dance and, above all, fraternization and joy.
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, accompanied by the Territorial Director of the Imserso, Verónica Aznar; and the Director of the center itself, Ramón Paqué, was in charge of cutting the cake made for the occasion which, as it could not be, had two candles that formed the number “21”, after a group of users sang the ‘happy birthday’ and will blow the candles .
A hundred users met yesterday at the center to commemorate this important day, in which the maximum representative of the Government of Spain in our city took the opportunity to thank all the workers of the center for the dedication and the magnificent work they do and recognized that the Social Center “is a living center that contributes a lot to our city and a reference in Melilla”.
Moh made it clear that if the center has turned 21, it is because “there is a lot of work behind all the workers, the management team, the staff of the external company and, above all, all the users who put that enthusiasm and the desire to continue doing activities every day”.
For her part, Veronica Aznar stressed the importance of spaces such as this, where the active participation of citizens is promoted and fraternity, meeting, highlighting the growth of the activities and services offered, as well as the involvement of staff.
In fact, yesterday’s day served to recognize the contribution of two users, Encarnación and Michel, for their participation in the activities and their contribution to the center, who were given a present and some flowers.
After the special meal organized for the users of the center, took place the performance of the Ballet Colors, which offered a repertoire full of vitality and color, and of the Melillense singer Lola Padial, who excited the audience with her interpretation of several popular songs.
