On the occasion of Open Administration Week 2025, the Public Center for Orientation, Entrepreneurship, Accompaniment and Innovation for Employment (COE) has received this week students of Professional Training from the institutes IES Leopoldo Queipo and CIFP Reina Victoria Eugenia, in a visit organized to bring to future professionals the operation and COE services in our city.
The day was attended by students from different training cycles of middle and higher degree, who were able to know at first hand the functioning of the COE and the services offered by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) in Melilla to facilitate access to employment and professional development.
The Provincial Director of SEPE, Jorge Vera, welcomed the attendees, highlighting the importance of “opening the doors of the administration so that the citizens understand how we work and, above all, to continue improving based on their contributions.”
During the visit, the participants visited the facilities of the center, knowing the spaces dedicated to orientation, accompaniment to companies, attention to job seekers and the development of innovative projects.
In the audiovisual room, the COE team has presented the main services and tools of the center, with special emphasis on the role played by the labor counselors, who accompany each person in a personalized way on their path to employment, ensuring equal opportunities.
The day has also included an active participation space with questions, suggestions and a survey of satisfaction on the part of the students, within the framework of the SEPE’s commitment to the continuous improvement of public services.
An innovative centre at the service of employment
The COE of Melilla is part of the COE Network of the National Employment System and is a public space of innovation aimed at facilitating the labor integration of citizens, especially of the most vulnerable groups.
Since its inception, this center has developed programs of individualized orientation, advice for entrepreneurship, accompaniment to companies and training, in coordination with employment policies promoted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
The participation in this Open Administration Week has made its daily work visible and brought it closer to young people, future professionals in the labor market.
