With an endowment of more than 50,000 euros, this classroom is equipped with immersive reality systems, virtual reality, holographic systems, artificial intelligence or one of the best 3D printers, with specific software for the Professional Families that are taught in the center.
The Provincial Director of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD) in Melilla, Elena Fernández Treviño, has pointed out that it is “a very state-of-the-art classroom” and that it is one of the best ATECA classrooms in secondary schools.
“These classrooms have different spaces, research spaces, development spaces, interactive spaces where you can use 3D glasses and all the materials associated with virtual reality, as well as a chroma space to shoot videos,” he said. “In short, it is a classroom that wants to transcend the center itself and that is offered as a model also for companies that want to see how this classroom that is cutting-edge in digital issues works,” he stressed.
As he explained, these classrooms are associated with innovation and entrepreneurship that wants to promote Vocational Training, so the Ministry of Education has made a “huge” investment in all secondary schools in the city to create an ATECA Classroom for each educational center, with an investment of about 50,000 euros for each of them.
