The Delegate of the Government in Melilla, Sabrina Moh, has announced that the CEIP ‘Juan Caro’ has been recognized by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD) as a ‘Sustainable Educational Center’.
It is a recognition of the Ministry to the educational centers that promote the integral school approach for sustainability, assuming a firm and unequivocal commitment to sustainable development. Through it, the CEIP Juan Caro is granted a grant of 7,500 euros.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has put in value “that we are an example at a national level is something that shows the good work that all the professionals we have here in the city of Melilla have.”
For her part, the Provincial Director of the MEFPyD, Elena Fernández Treviño, has reported that this Wednesday, March 19, she will travel to Madrid together with the director of the CEIP ‘Juan Caro’, Sergio Balbuena, to collect this recognition at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education.
Fernández Treviño has congratulated the entire school team for this award, “more than deserved”, which recognizes “his trajectory and the work he does with the students through his sustainability project and school gardens, as a revulsive for the whole neighborhood”.
