The Head of the Coordination Unit Against Violence Against Women of the Government Delegation in Melilla, Laura Segura, together with members of the Educational Programs Unit (UPE) of the Provincial Directorate of Education, attended on Monday the inauguration of the exhibition “Me quito el sombrero” at the IES Rusadir.
The IES Rusadir hosted the presentation of this multidisciplinary project organized by the director of the Equality Plan of the center, María León, together with the artistic group ‘ArteRusadir’. This activity brings together a set of artistic disciplines that “aims to highlight the extraordinary contribution of women in art, literature and culture in our society”.
On this occasion, the students of the center have made maché paper hats, collage scrapbooking, illustrations about the poetry of the generation of 97, paintings inspired by the work of Maruja Mallo, as well as a comic book after reading the book “Maruja Mallo, snails with wings”.
During the inauguration, a group of students embodied the figures of Maruja Mallo, Margarita Manso, Salvador Dalí and Federico García Lorca. In addition, a video detailing the different activities that have been carried out throughout this project has been presented.
