The Government Delegation hosted yesterday afternoon a meeting with a large group of businessmen of the city to address the opening of the Commercial Customs and the import and export of goods between our city and the neighboring country.
The meeting, headed by the Government Delegate, Sabrina Moh, was attended by the Director of the Functional Area of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Government Delegation, Isabel Bassets; the Head of the Customs Unit, Daniel Imbroda; as well as the inspector of the Official Border Control Service, Alba Rubio, and the Captain of the Civil Guard, Francisco Pérez.
A meeting that has served to clarify the different steps that must be taken in this procedure, as well as to clarify the doubts and consultations of the business sector from the different areas that participate in the commercial transits.
As the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has made clear, this new meeting, open to all entrepreneurs in the city, has been aimed at giving certainty to the Melillense business sector that decides to carry out imports or exports with Morocco.
The Delegate, in her speech, explained that steps are being taken towards the full normalization of commercial transit, something that is being proposed in phases and that, based on demand, the range of products and the number of daily trucks to export and import will be expanded.
