“We estimate that the Employment Plan can begin in the first quarter of 2025, incorporating the majority of the workforce in this period.”
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, in an interview granted to Onda Cero, referred to the call of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) for the autonomous cities of Melilla and Ceuta that collects a total of 25 million euros -13 for our city and 12 for the sister city- for the granting of subsidies for the financing of the program of labor insertion through works and services of general and social interest, in collaboration with organs of the General Administration of the State, in the territorial field of the cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has highlighted the increase in the amount allocated to the Employment Plan, which goes from 11 to 13 million euros, thanks to which they will be able to cover 1,290 people.
“Each city studies what their needs are and ours is to provide this tool to unemployed people so that, in addition to the economic part, they also have that job opportunity that allows you to also acquire an experience,” he stressed.
In this regard, it has highlighted the significant volume that means that about 1,300 people can participate in this Employment Plan. “I think it’s also an oxygen ball for families during this time,” he said.
“The idea is to hire and incorporate these 1,290 people in different projects, as every year, in education, Imserso, Port Authority, Police Headquarters, and other bodies corresponding to the General Administration of the State,” he said.
The Government Delegate has explained that they are studying to be able to recruit in different phases so that, depending on the time available to them for the completion of the plan. “The idea is that one staff can be incorporated on one date, another staff later, regardless of whether they all have the same duration of the contract, so that we have ample time with different staff,” he said.
