The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has asked the local President, Juan José Imbroda, to be “equal to the circumstances” in the meeting he has with the President of the Government of the Nation, Pedro Sánchez, next day 22 and “to propose measures that really benefit the citizens of Melilla”.
The head of the Government Delegation, in an interview granted to RNE, has asked Imbroda to attend this meeting with “real problems in which a collaboration with the Government of Spain is needed from the point of view of institutional loyalty”.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain recalled that Sánchez is aware of the situation of our city, in which he has been on several occasions, both before being President of the Government and since holding the office.
Precisely for this reason, Moh recalled, it was Sánchez himself who commissioned the Ministry of Territorial Policy to carry out a Comprehensive Plan for the Socioeconomic Development of our city, that is, “measures promoted by the Government of Spain to improve conditions, the economic sector, the infrastructure and housing sector, the public policies in our city”.
Moh has pointed out that this Plan, whose objective is to put in a comprehensive and transversal way in a document measures for the improvement of Melilla that can be carried out by the central government, as well as in collaboration with the Autonomous City of Melilla, and thus improve fundamental aspects such as economic development, public policies, infrastructures and housing...
This plan, which is in force until 2026, has 78 measures, of which several have already been developed, such as the change of category of the airport, the implementation of the Center of Orientation and Entrepreneurship (COE), which depends on the SEPE and which represents an orientation for the Melilla citizens to improve the employability of the citizens.
