The Government Delegation hosted yesterday afternoon the first session of the days to bring the resources of the General Administration of the State (AGE) closer to the Roma population, meetings promoted by the Cultural Association ‘Gypsies of the 21st Century’.
The meeting was led by the highest representative of the Government of Spain in the city, Sabrina Moh, who valued the commitment of the Government Delegation to make available to the citizens all the information, training and awareness of the resources of the AGE.
This first day focused on the resources of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE). In particular, the simplification and improvement of the level of assistance has been addressed, contained in Royal Decree-Law 2/2024, of 21 May, which adopts urgent measures for the simplification and improvement of the level of assistance of unemployment protection.
The Provincial Director of the SEPE in Melilla, Jorge Vera, has released a battery of measures and benefits managed by the public service, while explaining the enormous help they represent for the vulnerable population.
In addition, Vera has explained the operation and implementation of the Center for Orientation, Entrepreneurship, Accompaniment and Innovation for Employment (COE). During the meeting, the attendees were able to consult their main doubts and concerns with the Provincial Director and with the Government Delegate.
