The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has highlighted the agreement of the Council of Ministers yesterday by which a new Public Employment Offer for the Civil Guard and the National Police has been approved for the year 2024, amounting respectively to 2,721 and 2,707 places, which means 5,506 new places, to which must be added another 77 places for officers of the Civil Guard Corps approved last April.
“This Government, since 2018, has convened a greater number of vacancies each year than the vacancies produced the previous year. Since then, including the call for this 2024, the Ministry of the Interior has offered a total of 33,743 new places for the State Security Forces and Corps, specifically 18,346 for the National Police and 15,874 for the Civil Guard,” he explained.
“Thanks to all the calls for Public Employment of this Government, today there are more than 154,000 women and men in the State Security Forces and Corps, the largest workforce in history,” he said.
As the head of the Government Delegation pointed out, thanks to the commitment to strengthening public services and public security that the Executive of Pedro Sánchez is carrying out, it has been possible for the National Police and the Civil Guard, together, to reach 154,000 troops and thus overcome the loss of more than 13,700 places that occurred in the period 2012-2017, during the previous PP Government.
“During the years of government of the PP, Melilla and the whole country suffered the loss of places in all sectors of the Administration: teachers, health professionals, national police, civil guards…”, he recalled.
Thus, as explained by Moh, since the arrival of Pedro Sánchez to La Moncloa, a determined commitment has been made to reverse the damage created by the previous government in all areas and strengthen our Welfare State, including regarding the staffing of State Security Forces and Corps. “A commitment to the public sector and to provide citizens with quality services that they will follow throughout the legislature,” he said.
