A delegation from Melilla composed of teachers, inspection staff and the Educational Programs Unit of the Provincial Directorate, has traveled to the Palmas de Gran Canarias to attend the II PROA + Conference.
The Conference was held in the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium from 10 to 12 April and in the same Melilla it had its own space, since it was able to present two presentations of good educational practices, selected from more than 3,000, from different educational centers of all the Communities and the two Autonomous Cities.
Those responsible for presenting these presentations, before an audience of around 300 people, have been the coordinator PROA+ and professor of the IES ‘Juan Antonio Fernández Pérez’, Asunción Martínez Duarte, whose practice has been about the accompaniment and orientation of vulnerable students and the director of the CEIP ‘Juan Caro Romero’, Sergio Balbuena Teruel, who has presented an activity to improve the conditions of educability and work with families.
The good practices presented by the educational centers serve as an example so that other educators can learn new ways of working and caring for all students, always looking for the school success of boys and girls, especially those who consider themselves educatively more vulnerable.
The PROA+ program has been successfully implemented in 16 centers in our city and the Provincial Directorate works so that those who are missing are gradually incorporated into it, so that all Melillense students benefit from the application of educational policies that prioritize educational inclusion over other factors.
The Programme for Educational Guidance, Advancement and Enrichment (PROA+) is a programme funded by European funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Mechanism and coordinated by the Territorial Cooperation Sub-directorate of the MEFPyD.
