In Melilla, the social protection of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration benefits one in five people.
“The Melillenses have gone from the total abandonment of the PP Government to an Executive, like the one presided over by Pedro Sánchez, in which people are the center of the Government’s action,” said the Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh.
The head of the Government Delegation in Melilla has stressed that 10,600 pensioners in our city have seen their pension revalued and 2,500 families, of which 80% have minors in their care, receive the Minimum Vital Income. In addition, the Child Support Supplement reaches more than 2,000 families.
Moh, recalled this data, while referring to the statements made by the local President, Juan José Imbroda, trying to tarnish the visit carried out by Minister Elma Saiz to our city.
“The PP, when it had government responsibilities, dedicated itself to impoverishing our pensioners, raising their pensions by one euro while the cost of living went much higher, imposing copayments, defunding medicines…”, he lamented.
“When they have gone to the opposition, they have continued with their policies of attacking our elders and families, voting against the increase in pensions, opposing the Minimum Vital Income…”, he recalled.
Therefore, he added, the only conclusion that can be drawn from the statements made by the leader of the PP is his total opposition to any measure that favors pensioners, vulnerable families, minors…
“The PP governs for and by the rich, the privileged and the great fortunes. The citizenry in general does not care and is annoyed that this government has put people at the center of its political action,” he said.
