The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD) has convened the free tests of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education, for people over 18 years of age.
As the Provincial Director of Education in Melilla, Juan Ángel Berbel, has reported, this test will be accessible to people over 18 years of age, or who meet this age in the natural year in which the test is carried out and who reside in the cities of Melilla or Ceuta, or who have Spanish nationality and reside temporarily or habitually abroad or who have not previously studied regulated education in the Spanish educational system.
“In the call for 2023, 84 candidates were registered for the test and it represents an opportunity, if it is exceeded, to access a more optimal job qualification,” he said.
Applicants must submit the application for participation in the test using the model established in annexes I.a for applicants residing abroad and I.b, I.c for applicants residing in the territory of Ceuta or Melilla.
These applications can be obtained in person at the headquarters of the Provincial Directorate of Education; electronically, the website of the Ministry (http://www.educacionyfp.gob.es), as well as on the websites of the Provincial Directorates of the cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
The application will be accompanied by a photocopy of the national identity document, passport or any other legally recognized document that sufficiently certifies the identity and age of the applicant and the accreditation of residence in Ceuta or Melilla.
Applicants who have completed Secondary Education for adults in accordance with current regulations or previous educational plans, included in annex II of this resolution, will obtain the direct validation of the areas that prove they have passed. To do this, they must provide the corresponding academic certifications or photocopy of the book of qualifications, an essential condition for them to apply for the degree of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education in the event of passing the test.
In the case of having passed any of the fields of knowledge in previous calls of the test of obtaining the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education, they must provide, together with the application, the corresponding academic certification, an essential condition so that in the case of passing the test they can apply for the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education.
Persons with disabilities who require some type of adaptation for the performance of the test must specify it in annexes I.a, I.b, I.c, as appropriate and will attach to their application a photocopy of the certificate or resolution of the degree of disability, issued by the competent official body (IMSERSO).
The applicants will be responsible for the veracity of the non-original documentation provided, stating that it is a faithful copy of the originals that are in their possession, without prejudice to the possibility of the Administration to request the original documentation at any time. In case of inaccuracy, falsehood or omission in any data or document provided, it will lead to the loss of all rights derived from this process, regardless of the responsibilities that would have occurred.
For the purposes of organising the tests, applicants shall indicate in the application the language of the First Foreign Language for which they are submitted.
In this announcement, the test will take place on May 9, 2024 and the registration period will be until February 12, 2024.
The test will aim to assess the degree of development of the objectives and acquisition of the competences of Compulsory Secondary Education and, in order to adapt it to the characteristics of its recipients, its structure will be adapted to the following requirements: The test exercises will have as a reference the contents and evaluation criteria listed in annex I.b of Order ECD/651/2017, of July 5. The evaluable learning standards will be of an indicative nature, in application of the provisions of Transitory Provision 2bis of Organic Law 3/2020, of December 29.
It will be articulated around the three areas of knowledge: field of communication, social field, scientific-technological field. And the test will consist of three exercises, one per field, which will be carried out on the same day, the maximum duration of each of them being two hours. The three areas are communication, social and scientific-technological. The exercise of the field of communication will consist of two distinct parts: one of Spanish Language and Literature and another of Foreign Language.
The test will be considered passed when the participant obtains a score equal to or greater than five points in each of the areas that compose it. In the case of not having passed the test, the candidates will maintain, for the successive calls, the qualifications of the approved area or areas, which will be valid throughout the national territory.
