The Ministry of Equality will award a ‘Menina’ recognition to the Coordination Units Against Violence Against Women of the Government Delegations “for their work of extraordinary value in the fight against gender violence”.
The Ministry, which will carry out the ceremony of handing over these recognitions on Tuesday, November 21 at the Centro de Cultura Contemporáneo Condeduque de Madrid, will award several awards both to people, projects, and institutions, which, during the year 2023, have been recognized for their work in different areas in the fight against male violence.
The Head of the Coordination Unit Against Violence Against Women of the Government Delegation in Melilla, Laura Segura, will travel to Madrid, to take part in this event.
The Ministry of Equality will award recognition in various categories such as social movement in defense of equality and against gender violence, information with a gender approach, culture against violence, institutional response against gender violence…
In addition to the Units, this event will recognize the “Platform I do believe you” made up of protective mothers, the University of Malaga for its campaign “Don’t leave it in sight”, or the Collective of Prison Psychologists for their exceptional work in the fight for the eradication of gender violence through therapeutic intervention with men convicted of violence against women, among others.
