The Council of Ministers has authorized the extension addendum to the Agreement between Imserso and the Government of Melilla to continue the comprehensive care of users of the Center for Attention to People with Intellectual Disability ‘Francisco Gámez Morón’, as announced by the Spokeswoman of the Government of the Nation, Isabel Rodríguez, at the press conference following the Council of Ministers.
The agreement between the entities aims to provide comprehensive care to the residents of the ‘Francisco Gámez Morón’ Center, by reserving 35 boarding places and 20 half-board places for people with intellectual disabilities in it.
The agreement, which was signed on November 25, 2020 between the Institute of Seniors and Social Services (Imserso) and the Ministry of Economy and Social Policies of the City of Melilla established a duration of 3 years, being able to agree its extension for a period of up to 3 additional years. The parties have agreed to extend the agreement for 1 year, from December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024, through the processing of an Addendum that allows this collaboration to continue.
The Imserso will continue to pay to the city of Melilla, in terms of settlement of stays, the resulting difference between the amount established in terms of cost/place and the amounts paid by the users, within the deadlines and in accordance with the requirements established in the regulations applicable to the centers for people with disabilities.
The maximum economic amount that the Imserso will contribute in this Addendum amounts to 675,835.50 euros, distributed in 12,619.69 euros during the year 2023, and 663,215.81 euros for the year 2024. As indicated, this amount will make it possible to provide comprehensive care for 35 residential places and 20 day-care places, during the period of validity of the same.
