The Base Center of the Imserso will have a multisensory room to work with children in early care. This was announced this morning by the Territorial Director, Verónica Aznar, who has reported that this improvement is already pending to be published in the contracting platform.
It will have a budget of 27,686 euros, thanks to European funds for the improvement of accessibility and the promotion of autonomous life. In addition, to correspond to 3,780 euros for the purchase of ergonomic work chairs.
Continuing with the Base Center, it has highlighted the fact that it is already part of the coordination team of the group of early care experts at the national level. “He is in the working group number 5 corresponding to the creation of quality standards in performance, detection criteria…”, he reported.
In addition, given the difficulties experienced in the incorporation of a doctor for the assessment of the disability that covered the absence of the holder already retired, it has been advanced that, in the coming weeks, this figure will be available.
Regarding the delay that this has led to in the valuations and taking into account that there are new levels of disability, “we have reinforced the team with a new figure, that of an occupational therapist, and the incorporation, through transfer competitions, of a new social worker,” he said.

Kitchen Refurbishment
Aznar has also referred to the improvements that are being carried out in the Social Center for Seniors, where an important work of reform has been undertaken in its kitchen and has also been strengthened with the purchase of new specific machinery for industrial kitchens. Along with this, the installation of the complete gas has been reformed.
In addition, an interactive screen for users of the center and 120 new chairs will be purchased that favor accessibility and improve the conditions of the social center. All of this will involve a departure of 33,774 euros.

Verónica Aznar has thanked all the professionals who work “with effort” in the Imserso, both in Administration, Dependence, Benefits, Information, Base Center, Social Center for the elderly and Multipurpose Center of services for the elderly, as well as the Central Services of Madrid “with the General Secretary and the General Director at the head”.
“Thank you for the enormous effort you have shown in this time, for the team we have formed and thanks to which today each achievement is 100% of all,” he said.
In addition to the workers of the Imserso, the directors of the different centers, the one attached to the management of the Residence and the heads of area, whom he has described as “great professionals who from the beginning have rowed me with the greatest of illusions during all this time”, Aznar has had words of thanks for the families “for their empathy in the cumbersome administrative procedure that any request entails”, and for the “collective object of our work, who are the engine of our daily struggle to become better and not conform to the now”.
