Imserso’s grants to elderly people, people with disabilities and people in a situation of dependency this year have reached 400,000 euros in Melilla and, in its different modalities, have involved the presentation of more than 500 applications for help in our city.
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, and the Territorial Director of the Imserso, Verónica Aznar, in their appearance today have given an account of these data. “The elderly, dependent people and their families have been and are our priority and will continue to be so during the next legislature, because it is in the DNA of the Government of Pedro Sánchez,” said the top representative of the Government of Spain in a city sample.
On this issue, the owner of the Imserso in our city explained that, this year, “we managed to get them out on a date that was more accessible, since last year they left in summer and it was an inconvenience to many entities and natural persons that in summer go more than a month”.
Specifically, for the elderly the item is 33,660 euros and 102 applications have been submitted; in the dependency category the amount is 100,000 euros and a total of 187 applications have been submitted; and for the disability the item amounts to 106,944 euros and 246 applications have been submitted.
With regard to the institutions, there was a provision for seniors corresponding to Euro19,870 and for disability of Euro138,430.
In addition, at present, the Territorial Directorate together with the Autonomous City is working hard on a new delegation of competences on the service of teleassistance and home help, Aznar has announced.
“All these measures show that the elderly, people with dependency, people with disabilities and their family members have been, are and will always be our priority,” he stressed.
