The security mechanism that will ensure security in Melilla during the general elections on July 23 will be composed of a total of 551 members of the Security Forces and Corps.
As reported by the Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, the device will be composed of 134 agents of the National Police, 177 of the Civil Guard and 240 of the Local Police.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has valued the work and professionalism of the police forces and has highlighted the coordination that exists between them.
“The professionals of the Security Forces and Corps, as they have already done in the previous elections, are going to guarantee democratic normality and we are going to make the voting day a quiet day and according to what the Melillense citizens deserve,” he stressed.
Professionalism of Post
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has also had words of praise for the professionals of the Post and has regretted that the candidate of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has questioned his professionalism.
“The Melillenses know the good work and professionalism of the women and men of the Post Office staff and we have absolute confidence in their work,” he said.
In this regard, he recalled that both in this electoral process and in the previous ones, Correos has fulfilled its duty “even, sometimes, in very complicated conditions that have forced them to put police escorts” and, for this reason, the Delegate has thanked them for their enormous work and effort.
