The Ministry of Finance and Public Function has delivered a total of 17 million euros to Melilla until the month of June as deliveries on account of the regional financing system. A figure that rises to 61,678 million euros if we talk about the Autonomous Communities of the common system and the Cities with Statute of Autonomy as a whole.
This means that these territorial entities have had in the course of 2023 a volume of resources for account deliveries higher by 6.04 billion euros than the figure they had in the previous year, which represents an increase of 11%.
The payment of the deliveries on account is made monthly, through two revenues to the Autonomous Communities of common system and Cities of Ceuta and Melilla: one at the beginning of the month and another at the end.
In particular, the second payment of the month of June has been paid, in which Melilla has entered 3 million euros and the set of territorial entities have entered 10,280 million euros, compared to 9,273 million euros a year earlier, that is, 1,007 million more.
In this way, the Ministry of Finance and Public Function complies with the system of autonomous financing, which operates by means of deliveries on account of the tax resources that are estimated to be entered throughout the year in the form of IRPF (the autonomous tariff) and the percentages set by the law that corresponds to VAT and Special Taxes and that the Central State advances. Added to these figures are the estimated tax revenues based on the economic forecasts included in the State’s General Budgets of 2023, the payments on account of the Global Sufficiency Fund and the transfer of the Fundamental Public Services Guarantee Fund.
This year’s PGEs show the Government’s commitment to all territories, so that they can provide the Welfare State’s public services within the sphere of their competences with excellent quality.
In total, in the year 2023, the Autonomous Communities of the common system and Cities of Ceuta and Melilla will receive 123,356 million euros in account deliveries, a figure that exceeds by more than 12 billion euros the amount they received in 2022 for this concept.
