The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has welcomed the fact that today’s election day in Melilla has been conducted with total normality and without any significant incident.
The highest representative of the Executive of the Nation in our city has highlighted the coordination that exists “at all times” between the Local Administration and the General Administration of the State, the Zone Electoral Board and the Central Electoral Board, together with the Ministry of the Interior and has graded all the Ministries that make up the Government of Spain “for the support they have given at all times to the city of Melilla, especially in the most complex moments”.
Moh has thanked all the people who have made it possible for this May 28 to materialize normally. Thus, he has referred to the representatives of the tables, auditors, agents, personnel of the General Administration of the State and has also had words of praise for the security and cleaning personnel who have been in all the schools throughout the day.
But the Delegate has dedicated special words to the Local Police, the National Police and the Civil Guard “for the intense and magnificent work they have been doing throughout the day”, while having a special mention to all the Post staff, for their work throughout the campaign and today with the transfer of the votes cast to the different electoral tables.
Wide device
Sabrina Moh has referred to the extensive security device carried so that citizens can vote in freedom. A device that has been located in different areas and that has served in each and every one of the centers and tables “ensuring and guaranteeing for that security that would allow us to access the schools to exercise our right to vote in a safe way”.
After an intense campaign, where an alleged plot to buy votes has been present, and therefore a possible attack on democracy, it has highlighted the “fast, effective and forceful” response given by the rule of law so that the representatives of the Assembly are elected in a free and fair manner.
