The Provincial Director of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MEyFP), Juan Ángel Berbel, presented this morning in the auditorium of the IES ‘Virgen de la Victoria’ the new management program of educational centers “Fenicia”, which will replace in the coming months the current “Alborán”.
The new “Phoenicia”, with an investment of almost 2 million euros, will have numerous innovations with respect to the “Alborán” program, among which highlights the incorporation of the economic management of the centers, as well as other utilities demanded by the educational administration, management teams and teachers, based on the “Seneca” program used in Andalusia.
From the month of September it will begin to be used, in terms of economic management, in the pilot centers of the city chosen by the Provincial Directorate, and in January 2024 it will be implemented in a generalized way. The academic management will not be validated until the 2024/25 academic year, and the rest of the functionalities will be implemented progressively.
Berbel thanked the representatives of the MEyFP, Justo Sáez and Carlos Peña, of the General Directorate of Planning and Educational Management, as well as the managers of the computer company AYESA, who explained in detail, to directors and secretaries of the educational centers of the city, the schedule of implementation of the new system.
