The Government Delegation hosted a meeting this morning, led by the head of the institution, Sabrina Moh, between leaders of the Ingesa and the Medical Union, in which different matters related to the improvement of health quality in the city have been addressed.
This meeting addressed issues such as the creation of the working group proposed in the Sectorial Table to be able to address different issues of interest to health professionals, as a result of the approval of Royal Decree 118/2023, of 21 February, which regulates the organization and operation of the National Institute of Health Management, which has declared the jobs of health personnel of INGESA in Melilla as difficult to perform, among other issues.
In addition, today’s meeting has served to deal with the arrival of new specialists to the city who will come to provide service to continue improving the quality of care provided to Melilla citizens.
Thus, throughout the month of May, a cardiologist, a surgeon, a radiologist, a rheumatologist and a Primary Care doctor will be incorporated into Melilla, and in July an oncologist will be added.
As explained at today’s meeting, Ingesa is working to incorporate new specialists to serve in our city’s public health system.
The Government Delegate and the Medical Union have come together to hold a new meeting to continue working on these issues next week.
