The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has valued "the total and absolute commitment of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, with Melilla" that is reflected in the Integral Plan of Socioeconomic Development "that translates into the largest items in the history of democracy for our city through the General Budgets of the State and the Next Generetion funds."
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has recalled the more 356 million euros and 78 measures to transform the city, improve employability and continue strengthening the Welfare State of Melilla in a Plan “perfectly scheduled to be executed between 2022 and 2026”.
In fact, the Delegate has referred to measures that are already materializing such as the change of category of the airport from 2C to 3C included in the axis 2 measure 8 that implies that the aircraft that have been operating during this time can do so without the exceptionality that is being applied to them and, on the other hand, that they can operate other types of aircraft of greater dimensions.
“This change in the category of the airport opens the door for new companies to operate in our city as well as on the arrival of private aircraft, which also means improving the business target for the autonomous city and the offer of its tourism products,” he added.
Moh has also referred to the completion and implementation of the Orientation and Entrepreneurship Center, which will be operational during the first half of this coming April. It is an initiative that has a budget of 4.5 million euros and involves the hiring of 8 counselors.
The Delegate also referred to the improvement of the population's water supply system, with an investment of 30 million euros and that will mean, among other things, an increase in the guarantee of the population's water supply.
In addition, she has referred to the 24 Hour Crisis Center to assist women Victims of Violence, the digital kit that, in addition to being oriented to the digital transformation of our business fabric and is assuming the hiring of digitizing agents in Melilla, or the reinforcement of personnel within the agencies of the General Administration of the State, with the hiring of about twenty people and that translates into an improvement in the attention to citizenship and strengthening of public services.
“The Integral Plan is aimed at an improvement of the city and its public services and, one of them, is the health area,” he said. In this regard, he highlighted the package of measures to strengthen human resources in the health system, where the declaration of Melilla as a health area of difficult coverage is key given that “it is a measure aimed at the loyalty of health personnel and the recruitment of new professionals making melilla a more attractive destination”.
