This Wednesday, February 15, the Imserso will hold an informative breakfast with the media professionals of the autonomous city to give an account of the battery of activities that are going to be developed during this month, on the 15th anniversary of the launch of the Multipurpose Center of Services for Elderly People of the Imserso in Melilla, better known as the Residence of Elderly.
As explained by the Territorial Director of Imserso, Verónica Aznar, the objective is to make the whole society participate in this celebration and, precisely for this reason, they want to make the information professionals of the city participate.
“The media play a very important role in our society, and their role in dissemination is key,” he said. “Our objective is that the events for the anniversary of the Senior Citizens’ Residence be as participatory as possible and that all citizens who wish to participate. That is why we want the journalists of Melilla to be part of this celebration”, he explained.
Month of activities
On February 3, the starting signal was given to the activities on the occasion of the 15th anniversary, with a performance of the ballet Colors, but as Aznar explained, it has been wanted to develop a whole month of activities because of the relevance of the anniversary itself but also because “it is a way to give a lot of life to the center”.
Thus, during the morning of today the Residence will host a workshop of chocolates and a therapy room. Tomorrow, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, there will be an activity to celebrate friendship and love, carried out by Module Social Integration.
On Friday morning there will be different activities on the occasion of the Carnival Party, while in the afternoon it will be the turn of the performance of the Carmen Florido Dance School.
Until March 3, which will be the event that will put the closure to the activities, the Tuna is scheduled to perform, a hairdressing workshop, a family snack, or a Bingo championship, among other activities.
