As explained by the head of the Imserso in our city, in order to celebrate the anniversary “it has not been wanted to do a punctual activity”. “We wanted to dedicate a whole month of activities to it because that gives a lot of life to the center,” he said, referring to what happened during the Christmas campaign, where a battery of activities was already carried out. “The atmosphere that is created is very special,” he recalled.
In addition, in this way the participation of many groups is allowed, he has apostilled, in reference to the collaboration that is going to be provided from the Provincial Directorate of Education, with the participation of different students of Middle and Higher Grades; the Ballet of the School of Dance; or other entities and associations that are going to collaborate. “We wanted to make this month the anniversary of everyone because the Residence belongs to everyone”, he stressed.
For the choice of activities, a ‘rain of ideas’ was carried out in which professionals and residents participated, as reported by Aznar. Some activities that started last Friday, with the performance of the Ballet Colors, but will be enriched with ephemeris of the same month of February as Valentine’s Day or Carnival.
Thus, on February 14, students of the Higher Degree of Social Integration will carry out activities with the residents and install a photocall and a craft workshop. They will also carry out a song contest and an activity with chocolates will be carried out.
On February 17, Carnival will be held, a festivity in which residents and workers will dress up and the center will have ‘chirigota’, as well as the performance of the dance school of Mari Carmen Florido and on the 22nd the Ash Wednesday Mass will take place.
On the 24th there will be an afternoon with the family, when a series of activities will take place where the families of the residents will have a main role, which will include a snack and bingo. A day that is going to be used to give the ‘starting signal’ to the initiative of the volunteer platform.
As for March 3, the main focus will be on residents and workers. “We want everyone who has passed through the Residence to feel part of this holiday that day,” he said. “We are going to invite people who have contributed such as previous directors, people who have passed through the Residence…because thanks to them we have had an endless number of special moments,” he said.
A day, he added, in which the role of the professionals of the center and of the residents themselves will be valued, even more so when some of them have been in the center since the start of the same.
