Ciempozuelos is preparing for the celebration of its patron saint’s parties with the coordination of a joint security device in which Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection and health services will collaborate.
This special plan has been reviewed today at the Local Security Board co-chaired by the government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the mayor of the municipality, Raquel Jimeno Pérez. The meeting was also attended by members of the municipal government team, as well as representatives of the Local Police, Civil Guard and Community of Madrid.
The operation will respond to the large influx of neighbors and visitors scheduled for the festivities that will be held from September 11 to 15. This year’s festive programme includes concerts, children’s shows, bullfighting events, sporting events and religious events.
The Plaza de Toros, with the traditional bulls and capeas, the fairground, and the Plaza de la Constitución, with various concerts, are profiled as key points in which the surveillance measures and assigned resources will be intensified. In this regard, the Civil Guard forces of the posts of Ciempozuelos and Aranjuez will be strengthened.
A safe city
Martín Aguirre highlighted “the importance of coordination between the Local Police, the Civil Guard and the different administrations to work in favor of the security of the neighbors and neighbors of Ciempozuelos, a very safe city, 11 points below the average crime rate of the Community of Madrid”.
In this context, he has affirmed that “security will also be present at the holidays” and that “the security plan that has been presented meets all the established requirements” so that “from the coordination and with all the resources of the Security Forces and Corps, we will ensure safe parties in which neighbors and neighbors can enjoy as they deserve”.
