- Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 12, and only in the movement from Torrelodones Pueblo to Torrelodones Colonia.
- The work is expected to continue until the beginning of 2026.
- This action is included in the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which the Ministry of Transport has invested 735.23 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Madrid.
Transportes opens the upper pass of Torrelodones (Madrid) to light vehicle traffic
With a budget of more than 4 million euros
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is executing the repair work the upper pass located at kilometer 30.25 of the A-6 motorway and from tomorrow 12 November will also be allowed, in addition to pedestrian and cyclist traffic, the traffic of light vehicles in the movement from Torrelodones Pueblo to Torrelodones Colonia.
The current budget of the action is 4.04 million euros (VAT included). The work is expected to continue until the beginning of 2026. The upper pass connects the A-6’s two-way service paths.
Since August of this year, the passage was only allowed for pedestrian and cyclist traffic. Heavy vehicles will not be able to drive (buses and trucks).
Since the beginning of the performance, the following works have been carried out:
- Provisional apeo of the upper passage.
- Zapata and batteries in the median of the A-6 motorway for the new central support.
- Saneo of the board, by milling the complete package of the firm and removing with hydrodemolition the top of the concrete.
- Reinforcement of the board with the placement of new armor.
- Concrete from the central area of the upper passage.
- Extended from a high strength and waterproofing product throughout the top of the board, except for the central area.
- Demolition of the central part of the overhangs.
The remaining works until the completion of the works are as follows:
- Reconstruction of overhangs of the board in the central part.
- Execution of strut under board to connect it with the new batteries.
- Waterproofing of the board.
- Replacement of the firm, signaling elements and containment systems.
- Protection of concrete walls.
- Reconstruction of the median of the A-6 motorway after the withdrawal of the provisional roadways.
- Replacement of the firm on the motorway once the traffic diversion ends.
The works will be able to change the planning in case of adverse weather conditions.
This action is included within the program of conservation and maintenance of the State Road Network, in which the Ministry of Transport has invested 735.23 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Madrid, and which generates a significant impulse to improve the quality of service of the existing state road infrastructure.
