· The government delegate in Madrid has highlighted the simplicity of it and the benefits for public servants, which will avoid displacements
· Of the more than 259,000 people affiliated to MUFACE in Madrid, 170,000 have chosen a concerted healthcare entity
· The system has entered into service today with a symbolic act of prescribing the first dispensation in a pharmacy
The electronic recipe for the MUFACE mutualists has entered into service today in the Community of Madrid. The implementation of the system has been exemplified today with a symbolic act of prescription of the first dispensation in a pharmacy attended by the delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín.
There, he has been satisfied by this new advance for the mutualists of the region that allows them to go with their health card to the doctors of the medical staff of the insurance companies assigned to them so that the digital prescription is activated in the case of needing medication.
A breakthrough for the more than 259,000 people affiliated to MUFACE. Of these, more than 170,000 have chosen a concerted health entity, and all of them are mutualists because of their status as civil servants of state bodies, whether active or in retirement.
For Martín, it is clear that MUFACE “advances and evolves, it is digitally transformed”. In addition, this represents a great benefit both for public servants and their families and for the National Health System.
This step forward means that many mutualists will have an added ease when it comes to being cared for, something that the government delegate wanted to highlight because it involves “another effort in digitalization, transformation and modernization in favor of the system as a whole” and for which both pharmacies, doctors and users will be benefited, who will be able to resolve the procedures “more quickly”.
It should be remembered that more than 30% of the mutualists are in retirement, in addition to the high demand for service that is in the office of MUFACE in Madrid. Also, in the region, distances make it difficult to manage matters by conventional means (paper), and there are many centers, consultations and clinics of the entities concerted. “Precisely for this reason, it is very desirable that the electronic recipe is quickly extended and that Madrid serves as a paradigm for other territories,” he stressed.
For her part, the general director of MUFACE, Myriam Pallarés, has encouraged the mutualists of Madrid to demand the electronic recipe so that its use can be extended as soon as possible: "This project is another step in the new phase that is opening in the Mutuality, in which we will continue to move towards a more digital, more accessible and closer MUFACE."
For the director, “digital transformation, and more in the field of health, aims to make life easier for people.” “With the close collaboration of pharmacies, doctors and entities, we aim to make the prescription and dispensing process more traceable, safe and controllable so that our mutual societies do not have to travel or carry out bureaucratic procedures,” he said.
Likewise, the provincial teams, he added, will also work with much greater security, and data protection will be guaranteed. Pallarés hopes that “Madrid will be a catalyst that encourages the use of concerted e-recipes, which will be a turning point”.
The objective of this system is none other than the improvement of services with more security, traceability and comfort.
Representatives of the General Council of Colleges of Pharmacists, Official College of Pharmacists of Madrid, Official College of Doctors of Madrid, ADESLAS and ASISA were also present.
With Madrid, there will already be 12 communities and 2 autonomous cities in which the concerted electronic recipe SIREM will have been implemented. In these 14 territories resides a mutualistic collective of concerted choice of 463,359 people, who add to the 582,865 who already enjoy the electronic recipe of public choice throughout the national territory. Almost half of the concertada collective.
