• Located at kilometer 1.85 of the M-40.
• Until the end of the works, the traffic on the structure of the upper passage will remain cut.
• There will be roadway cuts during the days 8, 9 and 10 of November.
• Access from the side service road to the M-40’s inner driveway will also be restricted until Monday, November 10.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is carrying out the repair and replacement works of the top pass board that gives access to the M-40 (in the northern sense) from the neighborhood of Sanchinarro, located at kilometer 1.85 of the M-40, in the province of Madrid.

To carry out the planned actions it is necessary to carry out work on the structure of the upper passage and the traffic on the said upper passage remains cut off. This cut will be extended until the complete completion of the work. The incorporation from Sanchinarro to the M-40 sense north is done through the Avenida de Niceto Alcalá Zamora, the Avenida de Santo Domingo de la Calzada and the Avenida del Camino de Santiago.

Likewise, and until 14:00 hours on Monday 10, access from the side service road to the interior road of the M-40 will be restricted, making the incorporation to the M-40 southern sense through the Glorieta de Hortaleza.

Additionally, to carry out the first phase of the disassembly of the existing board, on November 8, 9 and 10, traffic will be affected between 11:00 hours on Saturday, November 8 and until 14:00 hours on Monday, November 10:

1. Cut of the inner road of the M-40 (southern direction) in the kilometer. 1,850.
   • Trunk traffic will be diverted to the side service route by exit 2-A towards M-11 and can continue on the M-40 South direction making a change of direction in the Glorieta de Hortaleza.
   • Access from the side service road to the inner road of the M-40 will be restricted, making the incorporation to the M-40 sense south through the Glorieta de Hortaleza.
2. Road sections of the M-40 exterior (north direction) at kilometer 1,850.
   • Northbound traffic will be diverted at exit 3 towards M-11, being able to return to M-40 via M-11 and A-1.
   • Traffic to the R-2 toll road is restricted from the M-40, and traffic can be accessed via the M-11 and A-1 direction Burgos.
   • Traffic from the M-11 to the M-40 direction north and A-1 (exit 3) will be restricted. The alternative route to the M-40 direction North and A-1 will be made by the M-11 to the junction with the A-1 (exit 0B).

The hours of traffic cuts may have some modifications to adjust to the operations of disassembly and transfer of the structure.

The dashboard will be dismantled in several phases, so there will be similar cuts in the coming dates that will be reported by the same communication channels.

Once the board has been disassembled from the structure, it will proceed to carry out rehabilitation works in stacks and stirrups and later to the placement of the new board.

The works will be carried out in order to minimize the time of execution of the works and their affection to the traffic.
