The municipality of Santorcaz has today constituted its Local Security Commission in a session co-chaired by the sub-delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of the town, Rubén Gómez Buil.
At the meeting, which was also attended by leaders of the Civil Guard in the area, representatives of the Community of Madrid and members of the Municipal Corporation have realized the creation, composition and functions of this body of coordination and cooperation between the administrations and the Security Forces and Bodies in municipalities without their own Local Police.
“This mechanism is an important step in the institutional collaboration, with the aim of strengthening the protection and well-being of the population of Santorcaz,” said the Government’s deputy delegate.
The agenda has also included the analysis of security data in the locality whose crime rate in June 2025 stood at 21, well below the regional average (56.2) according to the State Secretariat’s Crime Balance.
With about 1,000 inhabitants according to the INE of 2024, the town and municipal term of Santorcaz is located in the southeast area of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, 39.4 Km from the capital; and near the border with the province of Guadalajara.
