A total of 1,120 members will form the security device that the Government Delegation in Madrid will activate for the match of the fourth day of the UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 group stage that will face Atlético de Madrid – Unión Saint-Gilloise tomorrow Tuesday, November 4, from 9:00 pm, at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium.
This party has been classified as High Risk by the Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport. This implies that clubs are obliged to adopt additional security measures in the system of ticket sales, separation of hobbies within sports venues and control of access to the stadium.
In addition, the security forces reinforce their preventive deployments, especially with regard to the surveillance of the swellings, always in coordination with all the operators involved in the celebration of the sporting event and the protection of the attendees.
The operation, which will be responsible for monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will consist of agents of the National Police —coming from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit, the Provincial Information Brigade and the Mobile Brigade—; the Civil Traffic Guard; the Municipal Police of Madrid; components of SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself. The presence of vigilantes will also be strengthened in the Metro service.
More than 2,000 Belgian fans are expected to attend a stadium that will host a capacity of 60,000 spectators.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
