The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has begun work on the rehabilitation of the viaduct on the AP-6 motorway, in the vicinity of km 42.5, in the municipality of Guadarrama, in the province of Madrid. This structure serves the N-6 road, in the surroundings of Alpedrete and Collado Villalba. The budget for the action is 473,957 euros (VAT included).
The works, awarded in September and tendered in October last year, have started by the repair, waterproofing and improvement of the drainage of the top of the board. To ensure the safety of workers and users, during the execution of the aforementioned works on the board, narrowing and diverting of the lanes of the N-6 are being carried out as it passes through the structure. These cuts and narrowings will, predictably, last until December.
Subsequently, work will be carried out to repair and reinforce the batteries and to heal the bottom of the board. These works will involve narrowings in the lane of the service tracks of the AP-6 motorway and cuts of lane in the trunk of the motorway according to the different zones of action.
For the duration of the work, the precaution must be maximum and the signage of works must be attended to, along with compliance with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), visible on its luminous signs of variable signage. The planning may be altered in case of adverse weather conditions.
At the end of last year, the works were awarded for more than 1 million euros. reduce the noise of AP-6 in Collado Villalba, Alpedrete and Guadarrama. These works are financed from European NextGenerationEU funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
