- The initiative consists of the simultaneous realization of commemorative murals in different municipalities of Madrid next Saturday, November 15.
- The neighbors will be able to make their own ‘avatars’ and translate them into a collective mural guided by an artistic coordinator.
- The Delegation has asked the municipalities to participate and look for a space where to do it.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, has sent a letter to the municipalities of the Community of Madrid, inviting them to participate in a festive day on November 15, so that “neighbors and neighbors, children, associations, educational centers and anyone who wishes can participate in the realization of a mural that represents democratic values, coexistence and freedom.”
An activity for which the municipalities have been asked to propose an optimal location for the realization of the same. The neighbors who want to participate will be able to design their own ‘avatar’ and capture it through a technique of template and spray, in a collaborative mural guided by an artistic coordinator.
In the delegate’s words, this initiative “aspires to be a shared symbol of memory, unity and commitment to freedom, values that for five decades have sustained our democracy.”
