- The demolition of the structure of the access link to Pedrezuela will begin.
- For 10 days, the two roads of the A-1A will be cut between km 43.1 and 45.5.
- The circulation of vehicles will be diverted through the branches of link 43 and 44 of the motorway, to circulate through the streets of La Rosaleda and Los Nardos, in the municipality of El Molar.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility advances with the urban integration works of the A-1A motorway, between km 40.8 and 45.5, as it passes through El Molar and Pedrezuela, in the Community of Madrid. The action consists of the construction of a central boulevard, a bike lane and the rearrangement of the accesses along the motorway roads, and has a budget of 10.994 million euros financed with the European Funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
In the current phase, work will begin on demolishing the structure of the access link to Pedrezuela, at km 44.14.
In this context, and in order to guarantee the safety of workers and users, from today, October 6 and for 10 days, from 7:00 to 21:00 hours, traffic will be affected on the two roads of the A-1A between the kilometers 43,100 and 45,500.
To ensure the fluidity of traffic, the following duly signposted detours and alternative itineraries will be enabled:
- For vehicles travelling on the A-1A sense Burgos, Exit 43 of the motorway, access to El Molar, is proposed to circulate through Calle De Los Nardos continuing with Calle De La Rosaleda, where you can access Pedrezuela or join the A-1a through the exit branch of link 44, which will serve in double sense.
- For vehicles travelling on the A-1A sense Madrid, The traffic will be diverted by the exit branch 44 of the motorway, at which point it will be possible to enter the municipality of Pedrezuela or continue by the entrance branch km 44 to the A-1A direction Madrid.
- For the heavy duty vehicles circulating on the A-1A in the sense of Madrid, with the exception of intercity buses, traffic will be diverted by the exterior variant A-1. Those who want to enter Pedrezuela must do so by taking the link 47 of the A-1, make the change of direction towards Madrid, continue on the A-1A and enter Pedrezuela by the link 44 of the A-1A.
- Los heavy duty vehicles circulating on the A-1A in the sense of BurgosThey will have the same deviations as the other vehicles in this direction described above.
These effects are expected to last 10 days, until the disassembly and demolition of the structure is completed. During the same, from 21:00 to 7:00 hours, the following configuration will be maintained for road traffic, which will also be applied during the 24 hours of the day once the performance is finished:
- Between the km 44.1 to the 45.5: The road towards Madrid is currently closed to traffic, with vehicles travelling in both directions along the road towards Burgos. This situation will continue as it has done so far.
- Los access to Pedrezuela in both directions will be carried out from exit 43 of the A-1A through the streets of the Nardos and the Rosaleda of the municipality of El Molar.
Characteristics of the works
The demolition of the structure will be carried out in the following phases:
- Longitudinal cutting of the bridge panel to make the beams to be removed independent.
- Disassembly of the beams with crane.
- Demolition of the beams.
- Cutting and demolition of the stacks of the structure.
