The Subdelegate of the Government in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, has today co-chaired the Local Security Board of Cercedilla with the mayor of the municipality, David Martín Molpeceres. Representatives of the Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection and Forestry Agents participated in the meeting, with the aim of coordinating the security devices before the arrival of the summer and the festive calendar.
The meeting addressed the planning of measures against the notable increase in population experienced by Cercedilla during the summer months, especially in natural spaces such as the Dehesas. Solutions such as the reinforcement of access controls and the provision of parking deterrents have been analyzed.
As for the patronal parties, a special device will be deployed with the collaboration between Local Police, Civil Guard and private security. The mayor has expressly thanked the Civil Guard for its constant help to the municipality, especially in key events such as the lock-ups.
During the session, the subdelegate congratulated the security forces for the good data of the municipality, which is 30 points below the regional average in crime rates. This data reflects, as highlighted by the Board, the effectiveness of institutional coordination and commitment to citizen security in an environment that, every summer, multiplies its population.
